BrainFit Online is a mobile app to provide you the support you need to keep your brain healthy and prevent cognitive decline.

Simple to set up and easy to understand, you get a risk assessment, personal plan and “real-life” coaching. You get direct access to the tools, techniques, and expert support to help you maintain and even improve your brain health. You don’t even have to leave the house.

We will walk with you, step by step, along the long road of changing your habits and adopting long-term, healthy lifestyle changes that will benefit your mind and body.

What’s inside your BrainFit Online modules

The BrainFit Online app gives you immediate access to the tools and support you need to practice and build your brain-healthy lifestyle.

Our support structure is built on three modules, delivered in a logical, step-by-step sequence.

1. Your Brain Risk Assessment (BRA)

We use a series of questionnaires to assess your medical and lifestyle factors to determine your risks for cognitive decline and dementia.

The BRA consists of 3 main categories.

Non-modifiable risk factors

These are the things outside of your control like your age, gender, education, past medical history, and family or genetic risk. 

Modifiable risk factors

These are the factors you’re looking to address or to modify to reduce your risk and gain further protection against cognitive decline. This includes things like weight and fat accumulation; habits like smoking and drinking; sleep quality; medical, psychological, and mental conditions; and overwhelming or chronic stress and mood problems. 

Modifiable protective factors

These are the activities and habits which keep us healthy and maintain both our physical and mental health. This includes things like physical activity, cognitive stimulation, nutrition and diet, social engagement, and good sleep hygiene.

How it works

  1. Sign up for your BRA and receive an email that contains a link to download the BrainFit Online app to your mobile device.
  2. Download the app and fill in your personal details in your member profile.
  3. You will receive several questionnaires successively, directly to your app, which you can answer at your own pace.
  4. Once completed, you receive your Brain Risk Assessment, which outlines your risk factors, and how to address them.

2. Your Personal Brain-Health Plan (PHP)

Once you’ve completed your BRA, you move on to an online consultation with our experts, after which you get your plan for how you can change your life towards brain-healthier living. Your PHP sets both short- and long-term targets for changes you need to make, as well as suggestions for further tests and evaluations to guide you on the road to better and healthier ageing.

How it works

  1. You receive a link to book a time for your face-to-face consultation session.
  2. You have a 30-45-minute conference call (preferably video) with our experts, where we determine the personal goals you want to achieve.
  3. We discuss how to implement changes in your everyday life to reduce your risks and enhance your protection against cognitive decline and dementia.
  4. We conclude by assessing your readiness to change and formulate a tailored roadmap to help you achieve and continue these lifestyle changes.
  5. Following the call, we send you a report directly to your app, detailing your goals in each of the medical and lifestyle domains you wish to change.

3. Your Coach Plan (COACH)

Your COACH subscription plan provides continuous tracking and support for your cognitive wellness goals. Together with your coach, we help you monitor your lifestyle behaviours and provide regular education and useful practices to enable brain-healthier living that you can put into practice wherever you are.

You also gain access to our library of step-by-step guides, workbooks, and audio-video guided sessions to address behaviour change in your specific areas.

How it works

  1. Complete your BRA and obtain your PHP.
  2. Subscribe to your COACH plan directly from your app.
  3. Receive a link to schedule your first coaching session at a time that suits you.
  4. Talk with your coach online, review your PHP, and determine the type of coaching that’s best suited to your needs and lifestyle.
  5. Use the app to schedule regular weekly face-to-face sessions to get your coach involved in every aspect of your daily challenges and problems, as they arise.
  6. Receive regular app alerts based on your PHP goals to remind you what’s ahead, and the fantastic progress you’ve made.
  7. Your PHP updates as you progress, with new goals or other modifications that are better suited to your lifestyle and daily circumstances.
